THE Places of Examination will be Auckland. Napier, Wann?anui, Wellington, »eiBOD, Greymouth. Chrietchurch, Timaru. Oamaru, Dunedtn, Invercargill. Candidates must send in to the Registrar of the University.- Wellington, on or before SATURDAY, November 3rd, a lisc of the subjects in which they desire to be examined. Signed with all their names in full, and accompanied by a statement of their age (last birthday), and by the examination fe?, from which there is no exemption in any case. Candidates' notices will , be accepted up 1o Saturday. November 10th (but no later), only -on condition that they are occompanied bj a .jtTKble fee. The Fee for the Martriculation or the Preliminary Examination is Two JFsCiNEA; the Fee for the Junior Scholarship Examination is One Guinea. In the last cose a second guinea will be payable if the candi date, on passing, matriculates. Candidates must distinctly mention for which Examination they propose to como up. Candidates for the Junior Scholarship Examination must be not loss than 1C or more than 21 years of age. Candidates for Martricuation or Medical Preliminary Examination must not be less than 16 years of age. That a special meeting of the Board for the purpose ot adopting the following resolution wifib* held on MONDAY, the 22ad day of October, 1888, at 7.30 o'clock p.m., viz.—" Thac this Board do make and levy a separate rate of )d in the pound on the rateable value of rateable property situate in that portion of the district, bounded on the north by Cashel street, on the west by the East Town belt, on the south by St. Asaph street, and on the east by the Nursery road, for the period commencing on the 20th day of November, ISBB, and ending on the 20th day of December. 1888, and payable in one sum on the 21st day of November, 1888, for the purpose of defraying the contribution of this Board towards the construction by the Chriatchurch Drainage Board of a brick sewer in Tuam streat between the East town belt and the Nursery road in lieu of the open drain now existing." 4.
