Thursday, October 4. [Before C. Whitefoord, R.M., R. Westenra, and F. J. Kimbell, Esqrs.] Drtwkenness.—Francis LeMasurier, for this offence, was fined 10s, and £2 for assaulting Constable Breen, whom he bit in the hand when being arrested. He was also ordered to pay £1 Is doctor's fee, and costs, or in default to be imprisoned nine days. Maintenance.—EmmaPatetnan charged Fredk. Whittaker with refusing; to provide for their illegitimate child. He failed to appear, and a warrant was ordered to issue for his arrest. Givel Cases.—Judgments went by default, with costs, for plaintiffs, in Stewart v Geoghegan, £2019s sd; and Maling and Co. v Gue'rin, £60 2s Id.
