SCRATCHING.
Artillery has succumbed to the dangers of training, and was struck out of the New Zealane Cup at 3.15 on Wednesday. The black horse has hardly fulfilled the promise of his youth, and has been a sadly disappointing horse to Butler; still he is a good looking one, and may yet do good service at the stud.
