[per press association.] Received October 2nd, 12.30 p.m,
London, October 1. The wheat market has been cornered by a Chicago syndicate and corn is now selling at two dollars per bushel. It is believed the operators will make a profit of three million dollars. Several failures have been caused already. Received October 3rd. 12.55 a.m. London, October 1. At to-day's wool sales 13,000 bales were sold.
