The Ifew Zealand Shipping Company's Ry.RS Roapehu arrired in port at an esrly hour yesterday morning from Pert Chalmers. She takes in 0000 carcasses of frozen xnuttoa here, and steams for Wellington, her final port in this colony, on Monday next at 1 pan. The Colonial Union Company's s.s. Bayley went alongside the ship Lady Jocelyn yesterday to receive froaen mutton. She steams for the Bluff; her final port, this afternoon. The s-8. Haoroto will be clear of her inward cargo of coals to-day, and is the - afternoon steams for Dunedin. For <xrey&M>uth direct the Mewhera henoe last night. Xhe Union Steamship Company's steam colDorOawaiti arrived in port yesterday moaning from Westport, and, after discbcujgiag her coals, steamed on the return trip in the evening. The Prince Rupert, schooner, has been chartered by Messrs Fraser end Malcolmson to load produce for Wanganui. The 8.8. Akaroa steamed for Akaroa yesterday afternoon. There is reported to be a dearth of seamen atOPort Adelaide. Ships are unable to ob-iain-hands at fair wages. , Since the Tainui's visit in April last ■there lias been a change in the personnel of some of -her officers. Mr Evans etill becapias his old position as chief, Messes Xepanb and Gladstone have beeaeucceeded and Saunders as second aad third omcers, and Mr Lowden comes ' asifoorth. Dt.J. A.
