TUBSDAT, AUGUST 27. [Before C. Whitefoord.Esq., R.M., Captain Parsons, and S. Heywood, Esq. Civil Cases.—Judgment was given for plaintiffs in cases of J. Ridley v J. Lisle, £9 6s. and W. Budget v E. Robson, 12s. Interpleader.—Mr Spackman applied for a reversal of order made in in a case of Press Co. vG. Kyrisson. It appears that the Company having obtained judgment, issued a distress which was returned " no effects." The agent of the Company then learned that a sum of money had been paid into Court in a case in which G. Kyrisson was the plaintiff, and ex parte last week obtained an order for the bailiff under Section 65 of the Resident Magistrate's Act to distrain on the same. Mr Spackman pointed out that the plaint in the case wherein the money was paid into Court was in the name of Diana Kyrisson. and a deed was produced in the case referred to, in which G. Kyrisson had assigned his book debte, &c, to his wife. The Resident Magistrate said he could not make an order to attach on G. Kyrisson's account moneys paid into Loan on account of Diana Kyrisson.
