AUSTRALIANS v SUSSEX. [By Elscteic Telegraph. hCopybight. ] [per pbess association.] Received July £2nd, 10.8 a ajn. London, July 20. In the cricket match, Sussex made 116, the principal scorers being Thomas 14, Humphreys 14, and J. Hide 12. Turner took five wickets for 35 and Ferris four for 47.
The Australians, in the.ir second innings, wanted 147 to wiu, and had lost sis wickets for 35 runs, when rain put a stop to the play.

Iα their second innings, the Australians made a poor stand, the last wicket falling with the total at SB. Turner played a fine innings for 3i), as did Trott for 25. Humphrey's bowling with lobs was most effective and he secured nine wickets for -it) runs. The ina',ch on Monday will be against Yorkshire instead of the East and Present of Cambridge University.
