-A.TJSTRAX,IAIfS V. SUSSEX. I PER PRESS ASSOCIATION.] Received July 2lst> 1.30 a.m. LOxNDON, July 19. The cricket match brtween eleven of Sussex and the Australians commenced at to-day.
S.issex were the first to bat, and made OS, the highest scorers being Newliam, not out, -15; Braun IS, and Thomas, 13. Turner took five wickets for 36, and Trott four for 2S.
The Australians, in their first innings, made 68, the principal scores being—Trott •li, Blackham 17, and Jarvis 13. Humphreys secured five wickets for 21.
In their second innings, (Sussex have lost three wickets for 74. Gresson made 30, Quaife 20, and Newham 10.
