For some weeks past a Mr and Mrs Ao-new, of Dunedin, who allege that they have been harshly treated by the Government in connection with some laud in Otago, have been in "Wellington with a view of getting the matter put straight. morning till night they parade the outside of either Parliament building or Government offices and button-hole Ministers, members, and heads of departments, until their interference was such that a special constable was told off to see that the pair did not interfere with members, &c. Yesterday they intercepted Mr Elliott, Under-Secretary for Crown Lands, and it is alleged that they used insulting language towards him" for which the police have laid an information against both husband and wife. »:■ rs Agnew is_ further charged with committing an Assault on Mr Elliott. The cases will be heard tomorrow. The Agnews have visited Wellington when Parliament is in session for the last two or three years.
