AEBIVAL OF THE S.S. lONIC. The Shaw, Savill and Albion Company's sp__adid steamer lonic arrived in Port at _ a»m. yesterday from the Napier road* v atead. At noon, she w&s moored to the
No. 7 wharf, from whence she sails for London on Saturday next. The lonic comes into Port in her usual fine condition, and is still coma__aded by Captain W. EL Kiddey. Mr H. W. Purves is chief ensinter, and Mr Kane, late of the same Company's s-s. Taiuui, is purser. The - lonic arrived at Port Chalmers on July 3rd, after a good passage from Plymouth of A3days l_hrs aOmin., and a total steaming time of 41days Suhrs lOmin. She left the Royal Albert Docks at 4.10 p.—_ on May 17th, and proceeded to. Plymonth, where, after -receiving her passengers and mails, she steamed hence at 1.21 P-m. on May 19—a, and arrived at Teneriffe at 8.30 a-m. on May 24th. After coaling she left again at 1.16 p.m. the same day, crossed the Equator on May 30th in long. IL3O"Vv". Table Bay was reached at. 0.39 a-m. on Jane 10th.' Thence to Port Chalmers, W. winds and fine weather. After leaving Port Chalmers she proceeded to Wellington, and thence to the Napier roadstead, and was to have left for Lyttelton last Saturday, but owing to the heavy sea whicn was running at Napier she could not get her cargo working finished- until last Tuesday afternoon, when she steamed for Lyttelton, arriving as above.- She has about 400 tons of cargo to land at this port, and some 6139 carcases mutton and sundry other pkgs of generaproduce to take in.
