INappea__J_etorsu__u_nttons for theFDRST MAGDALEN ASYLUM in New Zealand, the Sisters ot the "Good Shepherd" desire to express, through mc, their sincere gratitude to the inhabitants of this City and tho Colony generally for the kind co-operation alSorded them since they commenced the great work to which their Uvea axe devoted in thair temporary residence, Mannhegfaar street North. Hourly we meet with a poor Magdalen, tired of a misspent life, soekiog a shelter, and finding no aeenzuy against the biting blasts of renewed temptation, turns away with the weight of the wdHd'a accusation, with the world's condemn v tion, and becomes the victim of an unholy impulse, Which cannot be recalled without a sign —nay, without a tear.
