The House resumed at 7.30 p-ro. FINANCIAL DEBATE. . The debate on the Financial Staiemm •was resumed by Dr. Newman, who fg***( ally supported the proposals, but diff««* from some of the details. He support, the abolition of the Native Department Mr Rkkves (St. Albans) condemned Use Government proposals, and the absence « anything ia them that would relieve U»e PI approved of the Batot as calculated to meetfcbcreqntrenientsoi the country. He objected to borrowms unless a necessity existed for it. Dr. Hojogkikson spoke to a sunuw Mr Tα ylok thought the proposals wooM largely increase the deficit.
