The total value of notes and bullion in the Bank of England is _311j200,000, —.700,000 less than last •*ree_" r and the proportion of reserve to liabilities is 39 per cent.
Adelaide wheat, store, is unchanged at 33s 6d, and New Zealand at 30s to 335. Adelaide flour remains at 235. The total quantity of wheat and flour afloat for the United Kingdom is 1,600,000 quarters, and for the Continent 235;000 quarters.
Australian tallow, average quality, remains at 22s 6d for beef and 23s od tor mutton.
-.■j New Zealand frozen mutton, prime quality, is unchanged at 4d per lb.

The wheat market is firmer bnt business is inactive. Russian, American, and Indian consignments are dearer. An Australia » off-coast cargo has been sold at 30s 9d. New crops to arrive in December and January, have been sold for shipment from London at 32s 3d. Wheat on the spot shows an advance of sixpence. New Zealand, long berried, is quoted at from 31s to 335. The American supply is much reduced.
