A PERILOUS POSITION.

o [By Telegraph.] [from OCR correspondent.j DUNEDIN, September 9. What might have been a fatal accident happened yesterday afternoon at the building in course of erection for the. Australian Mutual Provident Society, in Princes street. Some of the scaffolding gave way at the top of the building on which some of the men were working. One of these, George Watkins, fell in such a manner that half of his body was left projecting out of a top window. He was rescued from his perilous position, and on Dr. Teevan being called in, his removal to the Hospital was ordered. The doctor gave his opinion that some ribs were broken, but could not make an examination. Another man named Robert Kay, was badly cut about i the face. Both men are married and have large families.
