PAPANUI CRICKET CLUB.
The annual meeting of this Club was held on Monday, September sth, in the' side room of the: Papanui Town HaU. There was a good attendance, and Mr .7. "VV". Homer was voted to the chair. The Secretary (Mr A. W. Amos) read the report and balance-sheet for the year, which were adopted. The report showed that the Clutj had played twenty matches, (seventeen were won, and three drawn. The balancesheet .showed that the receipt* had been £1(510a 2c), and the expenditure £14 .'ls 7d. leaving a balance of ki 5s 7d to the credit of the Club. It was proposed by Mr Amos, and seconded by Slr Jfeene-- " That last .season's Club be photographed.: Carried. It was proposed by Mr J. AHovner, and seconded by Mr F. lx;ach— " That the Papanui Club amalgamate with St- Albaus Club," and after some of the memberH had expressed their opinion on the subject, it, was carried by a large majority, it was proposed by Mr J. A. Homer, and seconded by Mr rl. Leach,— " That six of the members lie requested to attend the St. Albans Club's immial meeting ;" and on the motion of Mr Weet, seconded by Mr Heese, the following we *?' appointed:—Messrs J. \V. Homer, A. W. Amos. G. Robinson, F. Loach, E. Fowler,, and J. Grier. Carried. Votes of thank* to the St. Albans delegates, Messr* Onssack, Hathaway, Smith, and and to the Chairman, concluded the meeting. • After the business had been disposed m the Club held a nociaL The captain, Mrfl.
