The tenders for the Victorian Go veinmeat loan of three millions at 4 per cent., minimum £lO2, were opened today. The total amount offered was ten millions. Tenders at £lO2 Ids will reoeive 60 per cent, allotment; those above that will reoeive in full. [SPKCIAL TO FREBB ASSOCIATION.] Received January 2tst, 1 p.m. London, January 20. Eight hundred tenders were received for the Viotorian £3,000,000 loan. The total amount was £10,194,500. Tenders at £lO2 19a will receive 60 per cent., those above that in full. A Syndicate tendered for six millions at £lO2 19s ioa. Received January 21st, 7,30 p.m. London, January 20. The official average of the Victorian loan is £lO2 11s 4d. The Peninsula and Oriental Company have reduced the amount of their mail tender, but have not otherwise modified it. They also stipulate for the right to continue their connecting services from Aden to Bombay, thence to Ceylon. Received January 21st, II p.m. London, January 20. Truth publishes an article attacking the Mount Britten gold mines, a company to work which was recently floated. The leading artists and sculptors will send their work to the Adelaide Jubilee Exhibition. H.M. troopship Tyne takes relief crews to Sydney shortly. The Rev. F. N. Gocdwyn, Vicar of Harrow, who recently declined the Bishopric of Bathurst, is about to be married to the eldest daughter of the Archbishop of York.
