INTEREST ON DEPOSITS.
[fkies association txxbobax.] WELLINGTON, December 18. The Colonial Banks are anxious to reduce the rates of interest on deposits, and efforts are being made to effect this, bnt as these rates are guided by the rates current in sister colonies, nothing can be done unto a reduction be made by them.
