At the; Supreme Court to-day John Cromie, indicted for stealing a portmanteau and contents, was acquitted, the jury holding there was no felonious intent On the part of the prisoner. B. Dale, for. stealing £40 from the person of B. Bennie, was sentenced to ttro years' hard labor. There were no previous convictions, but prisoner had birnea very bad character. The Court adjourned at 440 till Friday, when the civil business will be commenced. Nolan, on whom sentence was deferred on Tuesday, was brought up to-day, and hia Honor put him under the Probation Act for six months.
