THE TIMARU SUICIDE.

[pBOM OUB CORBBSPONDSNT/J TIMARU, September 15. At the inquest to-day on Sarah Kennett, who jumped off the breakwater on Tuesday night, and was picked up after being eight minutes iv the water, the jury returned a verdict that the deceased committed suicide while in a state of temporary insanity. The only fresh evidence was that of Detective Eirby, who said he saw the deceased on Tuesday afternoon at two o'clock. She seemed very excited, and had apparently been drinking hard. She had been drinking for the last three months. Her father died insane.
