A match by telegraph has been arranged , with the Timaru Chess Club, which will be commenced on Saturday evening nest. The following players have be-n selected to do battle for the local Hub :-Me»rs Acton-Adams. R. T. Hearell, W. Mc William*: J. G. L. Scott, <*. J. Jakius, A. L. Smith, , F. Guinness, A. Cant, J. J. Milner, and A. H. load. The tourneyß in connection with the - Club are not making very great progress, a large number of games yet remaining to be played.
