This Committee held its quarterly mestin» at BwVafa on Thursday. Present— Meter 3W. M. Lyttelton fChairman), £. S. Coster, l>. G. Holmes, A. Chamberlain, and W.L. Allan.
The police report being favorable to all the licensed honsee in the district renewals were granted to G. Robinson, South Bakaia hotel; A. J> Howell, Railway hotel, and H. Child*, Chertsey hotel. The Aekbnrton County Council wrote, catßn* the attention of the Committee to the fact that the Baturning Officer's charges in connection with the recent annual election were higher than those of the returning officers in other districts. It wis resolved that the County Council be informed that the matter will be attended to.
