IStevr Toek, May 4, The laboring classes in the United States have commenced an agitation far I the initiation of the eight hoars' movement. Strikes are extending over a widespread area, and have resulted at Chicago in a serious riot, which took place yesterday, resulting in the lose of several lives. It is alleged that the outbreak was instigated by a foreign Socialist organisation. Disturbances of a more or less serious nature are reported from several industrial centres.
