AQUATICS.
THE INTEBPBOVINCIAL BOAT BACE. ' This event, which takes place to-day (Wednesday), at Kaiapoi, promises to be an exciting contest. The Star crew have given every attention to practising over the course sins c their' arrival. The course where the race is to be rowed is different to that usually followed, and persons , wishing to witness the race froip the--start to finish must go down on the north bank. The start will be at the bar to the sandr point below Lock's point. Experienced judges of boat racing find it hard to make up their minds, -as to the winner. In the evening the U.B.C. entertain the visitors at a dinner at the Commercial Hotel.
