HURUNUI RACES.
A meeting was held at the Hurunui Hotel on Monday, December 21st, to fix tbe date for the annual races. Mr 2i cßae took the chair, and the Secretary then presented a very satisfactory balance-sheet. The jaces were fixed for Friday, February 19th, 18S6, and a very similar programme to last year was adopted. Letters from toe C.J.C., re the disqualification of the horse Marmion, and the rider, Watt Jo™• Tayery, Mcßratney, and W. Kerr, ana the horses Supplejack and Marshland, were read and endorsed. The meeting- adjourned with a vote of thanks to the Chairman.
