THE MONTH'S SHIPPING.
With the exception of the stranding of the barque Hudson, nothing unranal has occurred, and the arrivals of Ens-Inn Bailing vessels have been Kmitec, ine following is a summary of the foreign shipping:—
ABBTVAXS. .. After loading her Port Chalmers portion of her homeward cargo, the B.M.S. Aorangi returned to Lyttelton on November'sth. Her Port Chalmers cargo consisted chiefly of wool, skins, tallow, and 7316 carcases mutton. Bhe left again for Wellington on
the 14th, and took her final departure from thereon the 19thy taking a large complement of passengers -and a full cargo, including 15,00J carcases of frozen mutton. I The Shaw, Savill and Albion Companyfs giimited) 8.8. lonic arrived from Poft halmers on November 6th, after having discharged and loaded a considerable quantity of inward and outward cargo. She ltft again for Napier oh the 10th, from whence she returned on the 17tb, and left for London via Bio on Saturday, the 21st, with a fuß cargo and a fair number of passengers. _ ; The 8.M.8. Bimutaks, Capt. E. O. Hallett, 8.N., arrived at Port Chalmers on the 6th November, tine brought 71 saloon, 84 second, and 219 third-class passengers, and all arrived in good health. Her passage occupied 40 days 14 hours and 55 mins, her actual Bteaming time being 39 days 11 hours and 10 mins. She arrived in Lyttelton on the 12th, and after landing 600 tons of cargo she proceeded to Wellington. Theßimutakft, as üßual, arrived in firstclass order in every department. Capt. Hallett has the same officers with-him as last voyage, including Mr Pickett as purser, to whose courtesy, we are indebted tor information required.- After discharging 800 tons in Wellington, she returned here on the 19th inst., at 7 p.m., having on board his Excellency, Sir William Jervois. As the tide would not suit she anchored in the stream till 11 p.m. The Governor stayed on board all night, and left by special train for Christehurch in the morning. She went into dock on the 20th November for cleaning and repainting, and came out en the 25th, after a thorougn overhaul, and ia appointed to sail from here on the Bth December, and Wellington on the 17th for London.
The. barque Glenmore arrived from London on .November 25th from Newcastle, with a cargo of coals consigned to the New Zealand shipping Company, on whose behalf she is to load for London
The barquentine Elinor Veiiur arrived from New zork, via Port Chalmers, on the lOsh November, with a cargo of American merchandise, consigned to Jamieson and Malcolm son.
i The barque Hudson arrivedfrom London oh November 28sh,after a passage of 114 days. She is commanded by Cape Thomas, well known in Canterbury, 'ihe voyage was uneventful until the vessel stranded, near Timaru, but owing to the prompt action taken by the captain and others concerned, the vessel was successfully floated .off, and towed into Lyttelton, having jettisoned a small portion of her cargo. BAILBD. The Shaw Savill and Albion Company's Pleiades, Captain Setten, sailed for Napier on November 7th, where she will load wool, Ac, for London. The barque Langstone Bailed on the same date for Wellington, where she is to be placed on the berth for London on account of the Shaw Savill and Albion Company. The New Zealand Shipping Company's Waikato, Captain Taylor, sailed for Napier on the 9th November, to load there for London.
The barque Lady Dufferin, after discharging her inward Cargo, sailed for Newcastle on November 13th.
ihe American barque; Escort sailed for Wellington en November lith to complete the discharge ef her original cargo. The American barquentine JSlinor Vernon sailed for Auckland on November 17th, with part original cargo. i
The barque Dragon, Captain Milner, was towed to sea on Monday, the 80th November. She is the first wool ship cleared this season. The New Zealand Shipping; Company were the agents.
