WELLINGTON, November 16. It is stated that the appointment of Inspecter of Lunatic Asylums, which will he «- vacated by Dr Grabham (who is leaving .. .the colony in the course of a few months) riasbeen offered to and accepted byPibr feesor McGregor, of Dunedin. It is also "-understood that before Dr Grabham was \ appointed the previous Government was willing to offer the appointment to Dr McGregor if he would have accepted, but _he declined. Professor McGregor was forv -meily medical officer of the Lunatic Aey--lnm at Dunedin, and has made tiie ques- - -fion cf lunacy a specialty. Professor ' McGregor is Professor of Mental Science in the Otago University College.
