UNITED CANTERBURY CRICKET CLUB.

. .. a The annual meeting of the above Griok& Club was held at the Commercial Hottf last evening. The Hon. E. C. J. Stevesi ococpied the chair, and there was .a Itfgt • ~ attendance! of members. .The annual balance sheet wes presentei,, It showed that the receipts for the'fa? amounted to £125 1b Bd, and the totals* penditure to J6113 Os 2d, leaving a balance in the Bank to the Club's'credit of Mi It 6d. The accounts had been duly aoditod by Mr H. L. Brittan, and found corrtot " The balance Bheet was adopted. v The election of officers for the ensuing year was then proceeded with, and »■ Eulted as follows :—President, Mr B. J. B, barman ; Vice-President, Bey. Canon Cotterill; Secretary and Treasurer, Mr B. D. Harman; Committee, Messrs W. V. Millton, A. Longden, E. J. Cotterill, T.D. Condfcll, W. McDowtß, H. B. Mathias, W, ■J. Cotterill. . Messrs H. Wood, W. G. Cotterill and _ Bennett were appointed delegates to attend the Association meeting, and also to acta, a Committee to arrange second and third | eleven matches, and to appoint captain, such cap rains to select teams. Votes of thanks were passed to tiliere-* tiring officers and to the chairman, sad then the meeting adjourned. At a C. mmittee meeting held afterward* it was deoided to erect a room for luuc-M and general use of members of the Cldk. The following new members were ekcted--W. Tait, W. Wilkinson, C. Ward,*. Burgees, A. L. Temple, and W. C. Hodgson.
