The ■alee were somewhat slow. Matson, Buss *ad Co. obtained the following prices for stock r—Milch cows, JBS to £8; store steera, Jβ to jß4j fat steers, £5 to -Cβ; young stock, 10b to 32s 6d; fat merino wethers, Cβ Sα; crossbred wethers, 10s to 12s 6d; croesbred ewes, 7a to 8s; fat pi?a to 365, jod store pites from 6a to 17s. In the grain market the prices were—For -wheat 2e 6d; oata, Is 7d; beans, 2s 3d. Sac potatoes S2s to 35a seemed to be the jpioee going.
