DARFIELD CLUB.
The newly-formed Darfield Courring Club Committee held a meeting at Gunn'B Hotel on Saturday night. Nine of the Committee were present. Mr Charles CampbeU was in the chair. It was decided to have a couraing meeting on Mr Mathias' estate, near Darfield, on tbe 11th June, as the previously fixed date, the 4th, clashed with the Ashburton Club. Entries to close at 9 pan. on the 6th, letters bearing that date postmark. Draw to take place on Monday evening at 5.15 p.m. The President's trophy iB to be given to the AUaged Stake, aud one value £3 3a, given by Mr White, jeweller, Chrißtehurch, to the Puppy Stake. Mr Geo. Butherford was unanimously appointed Judge. Messrs. Chas. CampbeU was appointed SUp, and Cbaß. McCausb—id Flag Stewards} Messrs Napier, Tweedy, Stewart, and Willis Ground Stewards for the June meeting. It waa decided to hold another meeting on the 23rd July.
