THE BLACK ROSE CASE.
[PBBSS ASSOCIATION TXLSeBAX.] DUNEDIN, January 8. The Jockey Club Committee considered a letter to-night from Mr Harley, of Nelson, the owner of Black Bose, asking for a reconsideration of the refusal of that horse's acceptance for the Dunedin Cup. He enclosed a letter from the Blenheim Telegraph Office, which explained that the counter clerk had put the message notifying the acceptance under a blotting pad by mistake, and it was not discovered till next day.
