JUNIOR CUP.
DENHAM'S L.P. ELEVEN v. C. COLLEGE. The score at present stands in favor of the College, they being 12 runs ahead on the first innings. The L. P. Eleven were rather unfortunate in losing the bowling services of Clarke and Hobbs, who cannoned together in trying to catch a ball before the match commenced, rendering them both insensible foe some time. The College kindly giving the L. P. substitutes to field, they were enabled to continue. For the College Cocke batted rather luckily for his 46, being missed in the field when he had only scored 4; then again losing his wicket to Jonea in playing a "no ball." Harman played steadily for 16. For Denham's Eleven Denham and A. Eidley with 25, and Clark 16, were the only batsmen who could make any stand, the last five wickets falling for 5 runs when the Park only wanted nineteen to head the College score. Mountford took five wickets for the Park, Hargraves five, and Studholme four for the College. Play will be continued next Saturday. Scores: College, 98; Denham Eleven, 86.
