AVON ROAD BOARD AND NEW BRIGHTON.
TO TUB XDITOB Or THB 7B2SS. Sib,—Kindly allow mc space in your correspondence column to draw the attention of the Avon Boad Board authorities to a practice which, I think, should be promptly checked. It is thia. Along the north bank of the Avon, from where the new bridge crosses the river, np to and fast Mr Bligh's property, there is a good width of reclaimed land, which I have seen described on maps as a " Botanical Beserve," and it is highly suitable for such purpose. Now, if you please; some persons, with or without permission, are carting away what little dry soil there is there, and creating once mere a "mud flat," covered by water at high tide, and rendered useless for even a towing path. Aβ an owner of property in the immediate Tiuluity, I object to such a work, and would ask the attention of bur local authorities to the matter. It is much easier to destroy than to create in this instance. .•" ■ l Yours, &c, Not a Goth.
