MIDLAND SECOND ELEVEN v WORKING-MEN'S CLUB.
This match waa concluded on Saturday and ended in a draw. The Working-men's Club continued their innings and increased it to 114, Lavery (35), Kiddle (29) and Cos—ey (16) being the principal scorers. The M.C.C., who made 154 in their first
innings, lost three wickets for 100 in their second attempt. Philpot ran up 57 in a very short tune, his hitting to lejj very good. Paul (21) ani O'Callagbun (10, not out) also played well.
Another team of the M.C.C. played United Linwood at Hagley Park on Saturday. M.C.C. batted first and scored 71, Paling (16), Lockwood (13) and Arundel (10) doing best. Linwood lost four wickets for 100 runs. AU the Linwood men made double figures, and if the match had been played out they would probably have made a large innings.
MIDLAND v ADDINGTON. This match was concluded on Saturday last at Hagley Park, and resulted in a draw. The A.C.C. in their first innings only succeeded in making 49, CaygUl 14 and Moorhouse 10 (not out) being the only ones to show any form. Halley bowled very well for M.C.C., taking six wickets for 15 runs in sixteen overs. The A.C.C. only batted nine men. Being 178 to the bad the A.C.C. had to foUow their innings, and, thanks to Moorhouse, they made the best score they have made this season, 124 for three wicketa. Moorhouse went in first, and at the time of drawing stumps was 66 (not out), made in very good form. He was ably backed up by Ogier 26 and Wheatley 11. -
