NEW YEAR'S DAY, 1884. mRAINS will RUN from Christchurch JL to the RACECOURSE at intervals of about 30 minutes from 11.30 a.m. to 1 p.m. t and from the Baceoourse to Christchureh at intervals from about 3.15 p.m. up to half an hour after the last race. F A*RE S: Christchurch to the Racecourse and back, including admission to the Course— COVERED CARRIAGES, 3s 6ns SEATED WAGGONS. 2s 6». Tickets available for day of issue only. The Trains to and from the Racecourse will not stop for passengers at any inter* mediate station, and season and ordinary tickets and free passes are not available by - those trains. The following Alterations in the ordinary-time-table will also be made :—The Lyttelton line time-table will be suspended after the 7.30 a.m. train from Christchurch to Lyttelton, and 7.30 a.m. from Lyttelton to Christchurch; and trains will run from Christohurch to Lyttelton at short intervals from 8.80 a.m. to 2.40 p.m., and from 4' S.m. to 8.15 p.m.; and from Lyttelton to hr_tchurch at short intervals from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m., and from 3.25 p.m. until 8.45 p.m. ' - There will also be- a train from Christ- . church to Lyttelton at 11.15 p.m., returning . I at 11.45 p.m., stopping where required. I The Morning Tram from Methven to Rakaia will run as on Wednesdays and Saturdays. Tho Morning Train from Rakaia to Methven will start at 9.35 a.m. instead of 10 a.m., and be due to leave Lauriston at 10.18 a.m., and to arrive At Methven at 10.50 a.m. The Evening Train from Bangiora to Oxford will run 50 minutes later than usual. Instead of the Mid-day Trains on the], Eaiapoi-Oxford branch, trains will run in the morning as on Saturdays, and in the < evening 50 minutes later than the times of . evening trains on Mondays, Wednesdays, ' and Friday. ' The Morning Train on the Mount Somen branch will leave Ashburton at 6.50 a.m.* and arrive at Anama at 8 a.m., returning' at 8.15 a.m., and arriving at Ashburton as 9.30 a.m., stopping where required.
