" Sir," aadd an old judge to a. young lawyer, "you would do well to pluck some feathers from the wings of your imagina- | tion and stick them in the tail of your judgment.** If you have a fight with a fellow about a i girl, make it a point to get walloped and badly hurt. Girls are sympathetic crea- [ tares, and she's bound to pity you, and I think the other fellow a horrid brnte. " What are you holding your hands over the stove in that way for?, The weather isn't cold,' said a father to his little son, who answered, 'I ain't trying to heat the weather, pa; lam warming my hands.* . How much pleasaater this world would be to live in were it as easy to go to bed at night aa it is to remain there in the morning, and as easy to get up in the morning ac it is to talk of getting up when you go to bed. . A New York doctor says that small feet signify a quick temper and an evil tongue. No w everybody will be spared at his wife to ■ see whether her feet are large or small, and no matter which way the verdict is She won't be pleased. Thb Bad and Wobthlbss are never imitated or counterfeited. This is especially true of a family medicine, and it is positive proof that the remedy imitated is of the highest value. As soon as it had been tested and proved by the whole world that Hop Bitters was the purest, best and i mostvaluablefa_i_ymedicmeonearth,many I imitations sprung up and began to steal I the notices in which the press and the people of the country had expressed the merits of H. 8., and in .'very way trying to induce suffering invalids to use their stuff instead, expecting to make money on the credit and good name of H. B. Many others started nostrums put up in similar style to H. 8., with variously devised names, in which the word ,r Hop" or "Hops" were used in a way to induce people to believe they were the same as Hop Bitters. All such pretended remedies or cures, no matter what their style or name is, and especially those with the word " Hop" 0r..." Hops" m their name, or in any way connected with them or their name, are imitations or counterfeits. Beware of them. Touch none of them. Use nothing but genuine American Hop Bitters, with a bunch or cluster of green Hops on the white label, and Dr. Soule's name blown in the glass. Trust nothing else. Druggists and Chemists are warned against dealing in imitations or counter feits.—rADVT.l
