Public Notice.* CONSUMPTION, Coughs, Colds, Bronchitis, Asthma, Whooping Cough, Sore Throat, and all Affections of the Chest and Throat effectually relieved and Cured by BAXTER'S mm PRESERVER. , TESTIMONIALS *— The Rev. J. Myers (ex-President of the United Methodist Free Church) writes — Hanover street, Leeds, March 25th, 1872. I have pleasure in testifying how rapidly and effectually Baxter's Lung Preserver has acted in -Haying, cough aud irritation of the chest in the case of my wife, who has several times been under the necessity of using it during the winter. From Dr. J. Ewart, M.R.C.S.L., &c— 1 am very much opposed to patent medicines generally, and totally discountenance the Balsams, Oxyinels, Elixirs, Syrups, and other emanations of unprincipled empirics, but I regard your lung preserver as a reaUy good preparation, entirely free from those qualities w„ich render most patent medicines dangerous, and of those tonic and stimulating properties which render it a treasure to those who Buffer from the exhausting effects of pulmonary disease and chest affections generally. In cases of asthma it quickly cute short the paroxysm. In chronic bronchitis or winter cough it is useful; the discharge of nucus is greatly assisted, and the wheezing and difficulty of breathing are greatly relieved by it. In acute bronchitis it is also beneficial, and whilst it tends to check inflammation, it promotes expectoration, and thus relieves the laborious and difficult breath ing so general in these attacks. As a cough medicine, for persons of aU ages, it is excellent. J. EWART, M.R.C.S. From Rev. W. B. Marten, Wesleyan Minister— Christchurch, 2nd August, 1872. Having suffered considerable annoyance during the past two years from hoarseness end affection of the throat, which at times rendered public speaking somewhat difficult and painful, I nave since my arrivali n this circuit (in April last) been induced to try your Lung Preserver, and I deem it only just to inform you that I have experienced great benefit from its use, being enabled to preach now with a degree of ease and comfort to which I had been some time a stranger. As yet I have used but three bottles, but shall certainly recommend it to all who suffer in a similar manner. You are at liberty to make what use you please of this communication. WM. B. MARTEN, Wesleyan Minister. From Rev. Samuel Sellars, Minister of United Methodist Free Churches. For the sake of suffering humanity I record the foUowing extraordinary cures, which have been effected by your valuable Lung Preserver —I know a gentleman in whom consumption had so far progressed that his medical man gave up his case as hopeless. He, however, availed himself of your treatment, and, after taking a few bottles of your Lung Preserver, was so far recovered as to be able to resume his business, which he now regularly foUows, without much inconvenience from either pain or weakness. ' A Cough of many years' standing. The rev. writer of the above continues— "An aged lady of my acquaintance was for j many years troubled with a chronic cough so severe that she seldom had an hour's quiet sleep.
