COURTENAY.

A meeting of the Courtenay Licensing Committee was held on Thursday, March Bth inst. Present—Messrs T. H. Anson, J. Brabazon, H. 3. Mathias, and W. McLehnan. The Committee elected Mr H. J. Mathias as their Chairman. Transfer —Mr John McLennan applied for a permanent transfer of the license of the Kirwee Hotel, Kirwee, from George Franks to himself. ■> The Inspector offered no opposition, and the necessary forms having been complied with the Committee granted the application, which, as the report on the other houses in the district was deemed to be satisfactory, concluded the business before the Committee.
