Mails close for the following places as under (subject to the necessary alterations).— TUESDAY, JANUARY 23. For Otago and Australian Colonies, per Arawata, at 1.45 p.m.; late fee letters, 2 p.m.; guard's van. 2.40 p.m. train. For Northern Ports, per Penguin, at 7 p.m. The guard's van must not be used for this mn.iT. WEDNESDAY, JANUAEY 24. For the United Kingdom and Continent of Europe, via Brindisi (specially addressed correspondence only) Point de Galle, India, <Jhina, Japan, the East, Aden, Mauritius, Suez, the Mediterranean Ports, and Australian Colonies, &c, per express, (to connect with s.s. Arawata), at 7 a.m. SATURDAY, JANUAEY 27. - Per the United Kingdom, Continents of Europe and America, West Indies, Cape of Good Hope, <fee., &c. (via San Francisco), Sandwich Islands, and Northern Porte of New .Zealand, per Hawea, as follows.— Odinary letters at 6.30 p.m.; late fee letters, 7 p.m.; books and newspapers, 6.30 p.m.; registered letters, 5 p.m.; mono j orders, 3 p.m.; guard' 8 van, 8.15 p.m. train. This mail will be due in London on March 12th.
