SELWYN COUNTY C.C. v ASHBURTON COUNTY C.C.
A cricket match was played at Hororata on Wednesday, the 29th, between the Selwyn and Ashburton Counties, which was won by the Ashburton men in one innings and 44 runs to spare. The totals were—Selwyn 48 and 42, Ashburton 134. The bowling on the losing sise was very tame. A scratch maten between the same teams, but with different bowlers for the Selwynites, resulted in Ashburton winning by 1 run. Scores, 30 and 29.
