There was a poor attendance, in consequence or the counter attraction in the carnival sports and the costume cricket match, which attracted five or six thousand people. The following were the results: — Hunters* Flats Handicap, of 60 soys. Novel Eact, of 69 soys. This was a walk over for Mr Maokay*B Aurora. Grand Stand Handicap, of 60 soys. Six furlongs. Mr Dodson'a Miss TTing filly, 6st 21b ... 1 Mr Cutts'Nautilus, 7st 121b 2 Violin 7st 101b, Gitana Bst, and Stockflower sst IOTb," also ran. • There was a magnificent race between the filly. Nautilus, and Violin, the filly "winning by a head. Time, lmin 20seo. Gitana and Nautilus were the favorites.
