There was a poor attendance, in consequence or the counter attraction in the carnival sports and the costume cricket match, which attracted five or six thousand people. The following were the results: — Hunters* Flats Handicap, of 60 soys. Mr Sutherland's Wild Boy. lOst 21b ... 1 Mr Jones , Gang Awa, 9st 31b ... ••• 2 Mr Sherwin's Mokarakara, lOst 101b_ ... 3 Wild Boy scored an unexpected win from his two competitors of two lengths. Pbksident's Handicap, a sweepstakes of 3 soys. with 130 soys added. Messrs Mason and Vallance's Tur*uoise, 7st 101b ... 1 Mr Little's Maribyrnong, sst 71b .„ 2 These • were the only starters, and Turquoise played with Maribyrnong, winning with a lot in hand by a, neck. Novel Eact, of 69 soys. This was a walk over for Mr Maokay*B Aurora. Grand Stand Handicap, of 60 soys. Six furlongs. Mr Dodson'a Miss TTing filly, 6st 21b ... 1 Mr Cutts'Nautilus, 7st 121b 2 Violin 7st 101b, Gitana Bst, and Stockflower sst IOTb," also ran. • There was a magnificent race between the filly. Nautilus, and Violin, the filly "winning by a head. Time, lmin 20seo. Gitana and Nautilus were the favorites. Members' Plate Weltsb Handicap, a sweepstakes of 3 soys, with 100 sots added.- Seven furlongs. Messrs Mason and Vallance's Turquoise, 9st4!b ... ... ~ 1 Hon. G. McLean's Gitana, Bst 61b ... 2 Mr Goodman's Somnue, 9st 61b 3 Bangatdra also ran. Turquoise was the favorite, and won by a length. Time, lmin S2sec.
