Oliver, of street, has recently entered upon ~ i&ft trade of Tending New Zealand -nines, -{he products of the vineyard of Mr Soler, 1 Wanganui. Of the quality of these wines ' *nd their absolute purity there can be no doabt. Mr Oliver has recently submitted samples of them to'the various medical -jgentteraesr*! Ckrißtehurch, who are unani- \ - sums in their high opinion of them for * medicinal purposes. They possess a full • Jttvor ana bouquet, with great natural and, being unfortified with ' *k»bol, cannot but be healthfuL Indeed/
' ?"ifc*J are, as claimed for them, the "t-ijBM juice of the grape. A visit ,39* recently paid to the vaults for purpose of sampling, when six dif- - ferat kinds of Wine were produced. The fet of those was Manzanilla, a very nice "1 jfctnaedwine, which, with age, will oe Binch V jdiStedbyeonnoiflseura. Nert to this came fine wine, r-*3bslendid bouquet and flaTor. The New .- Siland Cottetgntia wiH challenge favor- - comparieoa either with ita South Atis> Italian or Victorian riyal, being very clean i*n the palate. A light wine which has bees '- «Hed Vidooia was nexttasted. This is a with a foil grape flavor.; The -Ifclaga for those whoprefer a full fruity . Titte, is also excellent, and Mr Oliver has a i winte wine yet unnamed, bat which has all 5 ti& ehacaeteristics of Sauterne. The only
'- ejffarenoe from the French -wine is that it v &;«omc«lat sneter. As a whole, the New Jl Zealand winesr are excellent in qaality, and ~so doubt when more, knows will -come eigely into consumption.
