SHEFFIELD COURSING- CLUB.
[B_ ___-9R__?_r.7 SHEFFIELD, May 25 The second meetirg of the Sheffield Coursing Club took place at Mr Mathias' estate, Baoeoourse Hill, which that gentleman kindly placed at tho club's disposal. The weather was beautiful and the attendance very good and hares plentiful and strong. The beating was perfection, and the officials worked hard to make the meeting a success. The majority of the courses were severely contested and well calculated to test the stamina of the different dogs engaged. The following are the results :— ALL AOKD STAKES. First round. Mr Campbell's Bessie Belle beat Mr Caasidy's Pluto Mr Cookaon's Clanchiistie beat Mr Lawrence's Vagabond Mr W. Clinton's Spanker beat Mr Pearson's Spio. Second round. Bessie Belle beat Clanchristie Spanker ran a bye. Third round. Bessie Belle beat Spanker and won the stake. MALVERN PURSE. First round. Mr B. Willis' Eva beat Mr J. E. Jobson's Sheffield Mr Flanagan's Carlton beat Mr Clinton's Spanker Mr Campbell's Snowball beat Mr Brown's Spring Mr J. B Willis' Tibby Full.r beat Mr S. Plaskett's Nellie Mr H.
