New Zealand securities are unchanged at the following quotations:—Five Per Cent. 10.40 Loan, 105; Five Per Cent. 1889 Loan, 104; Four-and-a-half Per Cent 1879-1904 Loan, 101|. Adelaide wheat, ex warehouse, remains at 565; New Zealand ditto, 525; Adelaide flour, ex store, 41s 6d; Australian tallow, beat beef, 39s 6d; best mutton, 445. The Homeward mails, via Suez and Brindisi, which left Melbourne on November Bth, were delivered here to-dsy. LONDON, December 21. Accounts to hand from the scene of the colliery explosion near Wigan state that all the miners, except forty, have been rescued, and the mortality therefore has been less than was at first expected. A proclamation has been issued by the Irish Executive declaring the Ladies' Land League to be an illegal organisation. Intelligence is to hand from Africa that a false prophet who had collected 2600 negro fanatics in the Soudan, has massacred 300 Egyptian troops.
