The stone from Kolmar Quarry is of a dear warm white color, fine, close, and compact is the grain, and, being from a seam of ihesame formation as the Mount Bomers stone, will be found to display all the characteristics of durability and strength which the Mount Somere etone is so well known to possess. The supply is practically inexhaustible, 20 acres being the area of stone approachable from the surface, while the pl ' ff by the creek side shows 120 ft high of Etone. Specimens of the etone can be seen at the office of Mr Nashelski, High street, Christchurch, and at the offices of the "Lyttelton Times " and Pbsss.
