MELBOURNE, November 19.
Information has been received that five Bußsian men-of-war will shortly visit the colonies. Two of the vessels are, it is stated, to be under orders to proceed direct to Auckland. SYDNEY, November 19. Sailed, this afternoon—Hero, for New Zealand.
ADELAIDE, November 19. The South Australian Parliament has been prorogued.
BRISBANE, November 19.
Eight escapees from the French penal settlement at New Caledonia have been captured at Fraser Island off the coast of this colony, near Maryborough. The escapees had been thirteen days at sea in an open boat. They were brought up at the Maryborongh Police Court to-day and remanded to Brisbane.
