The Customs duties collected at Christchnrcb mi Monday, October 24th, were aa follows :— Spirits, J6242 4s 2d ; cigars, £30 7s lid; wine, £19 9s; Bugar. .£24 7s 6d; tea, £3 lls 4a ; ad valorem, .£ll3 15s. Total, £433 Iβ lid. On Tuesday, October 25th, the collections were —Spirits. £53 18s 6d; tobacco, £210 13s 2d: wine, £63 6s; sugar. £\2 2a; tea, £32 5b 10d; seeds by weight, JBIO3 6s 6d; ad valorem, £93143. Total, £636 5a Bd. At the usual Bitting of the Waste Lands Board, held at Christchurch on Monday, October 24th» Bales were made as follows:— Ordinary: Ashley, 54a Or 25p; Geraldine, 6a 2r; Waimate, la 2r 35p. Deferred payments village settlement: Orari No. 2, sa. Total acreage Bold, 67a lr 20p. Total cash received, .£174 15s. UeiusSe on account of former purchases were made in tho amount of £87 9s 3d.
