THE ELECTIONS.
Mr Pilliet addresses the electors at the Knightstown Publio Library this evening. Mr Thomson will also address the electors of Christ ohuroh North at the Gaiety Theatre to-night, and Mr Cowliahaw speaks at Bingsland. As notified in another column, Mr C. W. Purnell will address the electors of the Wakanui distriot in the Town Hal], Eakaia, to-morrow evening at 8 p.m. On Monday evening Mr W. P. Pearson addresßed the electors in the Loburn sohoolroom. There were abont seventy-five persons present, and the chair was taken by Mr C. A. Cunningham, who asked for a patient hearing for the candidate. Mr Pearson virtually repeated his address at Oxford, and the electors present gave him a very patient hearing. At the conclusion of his address, a number of questions were asked and replied to, after which Mr Barwell proposed and Mr D. Brock seconded a vote of thanks to Mr Pearson for his address. Mr Pearson thanked the electors for their quiet hearing and returned thaakß to the chairman for presiding.
