Mails oloee at the Chief Poet Office for the folkroing places (subject to the necessary alteratiom) as under :—

MONDAY, DECEMBEB 6. Fer Otago, per Wakatipu, at 11.15 a.m.; late fee letters, at 11.30 a.m.; guard's van, 12 noon train. For Northern Ports, per Albion, at 1.50 p.m.; late fee letters at 2.10 p.m.; gnard'e van, 2.40 p.m. train. TUESDAY, DECEMBEB 7. For Otago and Australian Colonies, except New Sonth Wales and Queensland, per Arawata. > __

WEDNESDAY, DECEMBER 8. For Oiago and Australian Colonies, except New Sonth Wales and Queensland, per express (to connect with s.s. Arawata at Bluff), at 7 a.m.; late fee letters may be posted in the travelling , post-omoe van attached to the express train. THUBSDAY, DECEMBEB 9. # For Fiji, per Botorna (to connect with s.B. Southern Cross at Auckland), at 1.50.p.m.; late fee letters, at 2.10 p.m. MONDA*, DECEMBEB 13. For United Kingdom and Continent ef Europe, per s.s. The next mail for the United Kingdom, &c, via Brindisi (for specially addressed correspondence only), will close at the Chief Post Office, on Wednesday, December 15th, at 7 a.m.

NoTß.—Ou and after Saturday, 4th Decembar, the Money Order and Savings Bank's office will close each Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock.
