LATE CABLE NEWS.

(Bγ Tbibseaph.] [Per 8.8. Albion, at Hokitika.] LOHDON, October 23. A political crisis has occurred in Greece, and the Ministry have been obliged to resign. Immediately after the delivery of the king'e speech She Chamber of Depnties proceeded to review the condaot of the Government in relation to the negotiations carried on with the powers in reference to the rectification of the Greco-Turkish frontier. A general expression of condemnation waa evoked in consequence of their failure to eecuro recognition for the claims of Greece. An adverse vote of the Chamber followed, whereupon the Ministry forwarded their resignations to the King, and now only hold office pending the appointment of their successors. The speech delivered by the King and the subsequent action of the Chamber of Deputies in defeating the Government has had the effect of creating a warlike spirit throughout Greece. The army has been placed upon a war footing, and the people are in favor of insisting by force of arms upon Turkey ceding the territory demanded by Greece, in accordance with the recommendation contained in the Treaty of Berlin. The situation of affaire at the Cape is assuming a serious aspect. The Basutos, though defeated in every encounter with, tho Colonial forces, are acquiring strength. 3?he rebellious Natives have been reinforced by great numbers, and Masupab, Lerothodi and other chiefs are maaifearing a belligerent attitude. It is believed that the active interference of the Imperial troopa will be neceisary to effectually overcome the Baeutos. !
