A case has bees commenced'against; the proprietors of the Sydney "Evening News" for contempt of Court in commenting on Judge Windeyer'e summingup in an action for libel. The defendants offered a qualified apology, to which the Bench objeoted, and the'case was adjourned till to-morrow.. :; ■'•■•.: '■

The streets are" completely blocked, and business is prostrated.
